My name is Richard “Ricky” Dunn. I am a 2020 graduate from Sonoma State University who studied Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Computer Science. Since 2015 I have worked as a Junior IT System Administrator for a K12 school district in Sonoma County. During this time I have learned about Cisco networking, JAMF MDM management, and Active Directory. I possess a variety of certificates, which you can read about on my resume.
Many would say I am a big picture thinker.
In 2019 I lead the incorporation, implementation, and installation of technology at the Technology, Academics, and Gymnasium building at Rancho Cotate High School. This included physical installation of technology such as overseeing the configuration of several computer labs, complex network integrations between Meraki MS switches and Crestron AV services, as well as establishing building-wide communication systems that encourage and promote student safety. When the building opened, it was declared to be one of the largest school facilities in Northern California; defined by it’s cutting edge technology for students.
During the March 2020 COVID-19 shelter in place orders within Sonoma County, I worked alongside a team of 6 other individuals to deploy nearly 5400 Chromebooks and mobile hotspots to those in need within our community. By implementing rigid safety standards, we were able to safely deploy this technology to those who needed it most in a time of devastation.
